INTEC is an International Education College for the students who will go overseas. Actually, it's a preparation place for the JPA, MARA, Yayasan Pahang, etc. students before they will fly based on their programmes. There are students who will pursue engineering in Anstralia, France, medicine in Egypt, Jordan, Ireland, Islamic banking in Jordan, physics in US, and others.
For your information, it's not strange when I said that INTEC is a quite social place. For those who are from the 'biah solehah' schools or colleges before entering the new college, they will notice it and sometimes the culture shock may occur to them.
World in this century makes the people to be intellect for the worldly matters until the 'akhirah' is left behind. Fortunately, there are still group of human who have the Islamic spirit to protect the students intellect from putting the religion behind their science world. Alhamdulillah, usrah is still exist in this college in order to spread the Islamic messages so that they will become a technocrat one day.
On the other side, students in INTEC have a quite prosperous and luxurious life. I recognize how the previous scholars in the golden age of Islam hardly searching the knowledge from their teachers by traveling around the world with a high determination without having any modern transportation only for seeking the knowledge and it is undeniable that their spirit and determination are very high in achieving their goal.
Ironically, in INTEC all amenities are in front of eyes. It is a great humility for those who still lazy, and misuse the opportunity to get a maximum knowledge in this challenging world.
One of the frailties in this college is the leisure time of the students are misused by them for the non-beneficial activities such as playing guitar, hang out without a limitation of time and the rest instead of filling their young time with increasing the Islamic knowledge on that area.
I wonder how and is it possible for the muslim scholars in this challenging era to become such as the outstanding scholars like al-Ghazali, al-Syafie, al-Zahrawi and Ibn Sina in the golden age of Islam?
Allah says in the Quran,
"Find what Allah gives to you for akhirah but don't forget with your worldy matters."
Do and always make akhirah as the objective and support it with dunya.
